Class 1 — The Big Three, and Full Connection. Secret keys for sustaining intense connection with a partner while preserving expressive autonomy as a dancer. We’ll apply these through advanced sequences meant for tight, one-square-meter spaces. Unlock the door to elegance in close-embrace tango. Tools to deepen and calibrate connection within the couple. We’ll explore the different engines of movement, refine interaction between leaders and followers, and develop techniques that allow the dance to flow naturally and consistently. Intermediate+.

Class 2 — Godly Walks. Ten linear walks for the social floor and competition. Topics include the key technical and musical details that give you ownership over these essential, elegant walks. Advanced.

DAY 2 (Feb. 7th, Saturday, 2:00-5:00pm)

$30 1 workshop / $50 2 workshops / $70 3 workshops

Class 3 — Dynamics of Turning. Maxi’s approach to turning to the left, built for comfort and real social-floor space. We’ll introduce key technique and musicality concepts through the classic giro milonguero in close embrace—structure, timing, axis, and clean connection throughout. Intermediate+.

Class 4 — Partial Turns. Maxi’s approach to turning to the right—the medialuna demystified. We’ll debunk common errors and show you how to keep it compact, repeatable, and musical. Intermediate+.

Class 5 — Complete Turns. Maxi’s approach to complete turns as elegant, repeatable structures in tango. We’ll break down their internal logic—how leaders organize the turn with clarity and precision, and how followers remain simultaneously connected and independent throughout. Advanced.

Class 8 — Sacadas in Sequences. We’ll build on the prior day’s classes, combining turns with sacadas. Advanced turns in each direction will be shown, with sacadas for leader and follower. Advanced.
